I mean i did mine in a Type 9 full cargo (780), you tend to get a lot of cargo missions, so its really helpful, i usually get to the stage where i cant accept anymore missions and my cargo (780) is full. As for ranking, I know the strategy, I did Imperial Ranking up to Duke in 2 long evenings before posting this :P. I can always go out exploring for a night and come back with a buck load of credits. You wont make a lot of money doing this, always take the high Rep +++ rewards, along with donation missions where you can and board hopping. I've just completed my Corvette grind, took around 6-8 hours from Rank 1 - Admiral, running missions around Ceos/Sothis, i always avoid the planetary landings, just adds a lot of time. I also heard Gang Yun/Zhana were also doing that, but when I tried that, it I had found barely any missions to Zhana or back.
